Scott Morman

September 23, 1964 — July 30, 2020

Scott Morman, 55, Glen Ullin, went to be with the Lord July 30, 2020 at his home under the care of hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin, with Fr. Jared Wolf celebrating.  Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7 PM.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Scott was born September 23, 1964 in Mandan to Larry and Leona (Weiand) Morman.  Raised and educated in Glen Ullin, he graduated from Glen Ullin High School and then attended Bismarck Junior College where he played baseball.  Scott moved back to Glen Ullin and married his high school sweetheart, Brenda Gittel, on April 21, 1989.  Two months later that year Scott was diagnosed with brain cancer.  He underwent many treatments and surgeries during his 31-year battle with brain cancer to be with his family.

Scott worked various jobs over the years including at MDU, Glen Ullin SuperValu, True Value Hardware, and at Dollar Tree. He had an amazing work ethic and was very meticulous.

Scott loved collecting baseball cards throughout all of this life. He participated in fantasy sports, such as baseball since the early 80’s with his father, brother, and friends. His league is still continued by his children, nephew, and friends. Scott passed on his love of sports to his children and they enjoyed watching their teams, the St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and LA Lakers.  Scott also played softball, loved 80’s music, sang in the church choir, and had a great sense of humor. His smile was infectious and so full of life. Scott loved to visit and could strike up a conversation with anyone whether he knew them well or was meeting them for the first time.  He is known for his love of food, especially chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk, scotcharoos, and all German foods. Scott was a gentle soul and always treated everyone with kindness. He was so loved by everyone who knew him. Scott enjoyed a simple life and loved his family more than anything.

Blessed to have shared in his life is his wife of 31 years, Brenda Morman, Glen Ullin; children, Jaron and Bethany Morman, Glen Ullin; sisters, Carla (Dale) Mowder, Bismarck and Kelly Glasser, Mandan; sister-in-law, Mary Morman, Glen Ullin; and nieces and nephews, Shawn, Sarah, Shantel, and Jordan.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Randy Morman.

**Refreshments and fellowship will be held at The Log Cabin following the funeral mass.  The family invites you to join them to celebrate Scott's life.**
