Dwight J. Anderson, 55, Mandan, died December 13, 2020 at CHI St. Alexius, Bismarck.

Dwight was born June 7, 1965 in Prescott, AZ to Truman Jr. and Anna (Heinle) Anderson.  Dwight attended grade school in Kulm, ND.  His family then moved to Mandan where he received his certificate of completion from Mandan Public Schools.  After completing school, Dwight moved into a group home and later into his own apartment which he was proud of.  He continued to receive services through Pride Inc. throughout his life.  He enjoyed traveling to Miles City, MT to visit family.  He loved music, especially Christmas music, and always had something playing.  He had a big infectious smile and life.  Dwight liked watching TV, bowling, participating in the Special Olympics, and attending church was very special to him.  Dwight was a proud member of the Kiwanis Aktion Club of Bismarck-Mandan, Arc of Bismarck, volunteered at Dacotah Lions Club, and Heart River Lutheran Church.

Blessed to have shared in his life is his mother, Anna Anderson, Mandan; brother, Roger Anderson, Piedmont, CA; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and all of his friends and caregivers at Pride Inc.

Dwight was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Truman and Ebba Anderson and Oscar and Mathilda Heinle; and an infant brother, Craig.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Heart River Lutheran Church or Pride Inc.
