Peggy Zarr, 65, Coleharbor, ND, died October 25, 2011 at Madison Hospital in Madison, MN following a valiant four month battle with cancer. Her loving family was by her side.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, October 31, 2011 at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with Reverend Kirk Meseck officiating. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
A closed casket visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Sunday, October 30 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Prayer Service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Peggy was born January 23, 1946 in Bismarck, to Milton and Winifred (Miller) Roth. She graduated from New Leipzig High School in 1964. On December 7, 1963 Peggy married Dennis Huber in New Leipzig. They had two children, Sherry and Toby. Dennis died July 16, 1988. On March 17, 2000 Peggy married Duane Zarr in Washburn. They made their home in Coleharbor. A strong and outgoing woman, Peggy worked on the assembly line at Bobcat in Bismarck for 32 years, retiring in 2007. She was on the Bobcat Retirement Committee and was a member of the Steel Workers Union # 566. Peggy enjoyed fishing, golfing, and watching the Minnesota Vikings. Above all, her children and grandchildren were the most important thing to her and she loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Blessed to have shared her life is her husband, Duane Zarr, Coleharbor; daughter, Sherry (Michael) Deyo, Madison, MN; son, Toby (Ellen) Huber, Mandan; four grandchildren, Bret and Katherine Deyo and Madison and Trey Huber; step children, Carisa Zarr, Spearfish, SD and Clint Zarr, Coeur d’Alene, ID; two sisters, Nina (Kenny) Hawn, Scranton, ND and Lutene Roth (special friend, Ed Doll), Bismarck; and one brother, Leonard (Opal) Roth, Washburn.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Dennis.
