Pauline Holle, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed into Heaven on February 15, 2016 at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem.

Pauline was born south of Judson on July 30, 1924 to Carl and Augusta (Mueller) Schieck. She was the youngest of five sisters and three brothers. Pauline met Wilmer Keller at her sister’s home in Chicago and continued to correspond with him while he served in the Army Air Corp. In 1945 Pauline moved to Bismarck and worked for Dr. Shorge. On December 8, 1945 Pauline and Wilmer were married in Waltham, MN. They purchased a farm northeast of Flasher, ND where they raised their family. They lived on the farm until Wilmer was diagnosed with cancer in October 1972 and then moved to New Salem. Wilmer died on April 15, 1973.

Pauline met Ben Holle and they were married in 1981. They made their home in New Salem. Ben died in 1986. After Ben’s death, Pauline continued to live and work in New Salem where she was active in her church and enjoyed gardening. A talented green thumb, she was able to grow wonderful vegetables and flowers. Pauline loved to entertain and enjoyed playing cards.

Pauline’s greatest joy was her family and being able to spend time with them. They will miss her greatly.

Blessed to have shared her life is her son, Jim (Marilyn) Keller; daughter, Jule (Charles) Herrmann; grandchildren, Brent Keller, Craig (Bailey) Keller, Kelly (James) Kagele, and Jennifer Herrmann; great grandchildren, Easton, Christian, Kyle, Lydia, AnnaFleur, and Ella; and step children, Mary (Ray) Lennie and Wayne (Kathy) Holle.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; and one great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or Elm Crest Manor.

Pauline’s family gives special thanks to the staff at Elm Crest Manor for the care they gave to Pauline for the past 14 years.
