Marie Bailey Heck, 89, Mandan, passed away due to natural causes on July 26, 2014 at Sanford off Collins Care Center in Mandan.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 29 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Marie was born August 2, 1924 in Mandan to Archie and Rose (Wetch) Reynolds. In March 1943 Marie married Walter Bailey. Marie enjoyed raising their 2 children and caring for her family. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Club and the Red Hat Society. Walter died in September 1982, they had 39 years together. In 1985 Marie married Pete Heck. Pete died in 2003. Marie’s two children, Patricia and Walter Jr., also preceded her in death. A feisty and independent woman, Marie will be greatly missed.
Blessed to have shared her life is her son-in-law, Duane “Bud” Carrier, Bismarck; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; her sister, Evelyn of Mandan; and brother, Tom, of Abilene, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
