Mandan

Lonnie Reed, 63, of Mandan, passed away on June 10, 2024 at Sanford Health in Bismarck. 

Lonnie was born in Superior, Nebraska the son of MaryAnn Norton. Lonnie moved to North Dakota with his family in high school. He graduated from Center High School in 1979. Upon his graduation he started his life long career in truck driving. 

Lonnie married Rhonda Delkamp on December 24, 1988, from this union came three sons. Together the couple made their home and raised their sons in Mandan.  

Lonnie worked most of his years trucking for Jim Ressler Trucking and Schmidt Trucking. Lonnie's greatest joy was being able to take Rhonda and the boys on his travels through out the United States. Once the boys were older, they were eager to take one on one trips with their father. 

Lonnie loved the outdoors and spent as much time as he could hunting and fishing with his family. 

Lonnie will be remembered for his sense of humor.  He had a gift to make any situation light with a few quick whitted words.  At his core he was kind and willing to help anyone who needed it, anyway he could.

   
Lonnie will be missed by his wife Rhonda; daughter, Rikki Sundley; 3 sons: Joshua (Ginger) Reed, Tyler (Kaylyn) Reed and Nicholas(Kyleigh) Reed; grandchildren: Maddison, Haddlee, Maverick, Olivia, Jaxon, Aurora, Brooklynn, Nevaeh, Max and one on the way due in October; sister-in-law, Deb Bolte; and 2 nieces: Sommer and Tiffany

He was preceded in death by his mother; step-father, Robert Reed and brother, Mark Bolte.

Services for  Lonnie will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home with Chaplain Scott Kilber officiating. Private family burial will take place in the Senger Cemetery near Center, North Dakota.
