Larry Belden, 74, passed away on November 4, 2023, at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND.
A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 12:00 PM at First Lutheran Church in Mandan with Pastor Phil Leer officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bismarck. A luncheon will be served in the fellowship hall of First Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home in Mandan.
Larry was born on May 4, 1949, in Mandan to Donald and Polly Belden. He graduated from Mandan High School and lived in Mandan as well as various towns in North Dakota and Wyoming. His primary occupation was working on the B&B crew for the Burlington Northern Railroad.
Larry loved anything to do with classic cars and belonged to numerous car clubs including the North Dakota Street Rod Association (NDSRA). He enjoyed working on cars and attending classic cars shows. He also enjoyed pool and bowling and was a member of leagues for both. One of his favorite activities was enjoying coffee almost every morning at McDonalds with his friends, neighbors, coworkers, and car family. His other hobbies included hunting, fishing, and watching family and friends bowl and play softball. He never missed a chance to bring pies to gatherings!
Larry is survived by his siblings, Jim (Robin) Belden of Sheldan, WY, Dale Belden of Mandan, Dennis Belden of Story, WY, Carol Rauchwater, Wanda (Bud) Knoll of Mandan; Dawn Nell (Jon) Christensen of Pocatello, ID, and Jim Ellison of West Fargo; brother-in-law, Gary Brunelle of Mandan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Polly Belden; sister, Deb Brunelle; sister-in-law, Renee Belden; brother-in-law, Dennis Boehm; and nephew, Todd Belden.
