Inez L. Hintz

The beautiful soul of Inez Leeann Hintz went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 23, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mandan, ND. 

Her funeral service will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hannover on Monday, September 28, 2026. Visitation will be at 10:00 am with the service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at the Hannover Cemetery.

 Inez Hintz was born in Bismarck, ND, on June 23, 1947, to Otto and Mabel (Sucher) Hintz. She grew up on the family farm until 1956 when they moved to their home in New Salem. In the early 1990’s, Inez went to live at Pride Inc. in Bismarck. While there, she worked and was active in the Special Olympics and loved to bowl. She loved shopping and rummage sales. If you needed a handbag, she would have one for you and would let you borrow it as you went out to eat at Perkins, her favorite restaurant. Kings in the Corner and Rummy were some of her favorite card games. She loved everyone unconditionally and loved sharing hugs with everyone. Later on as her health began to fail, she was moved to the Good Samaritan Home. She spent her final days sharing her beautiful spirit with everyone she met. The family wishes to thank Pride for all the love and support they showed Inez throughout her time there.

Blessed to have been in her life are her sister, Lois Bornemann of Glen Ullin; nieces Lisa Gerving, Lora (Bryant) Voegele all of Glen Ullin, Cindy (Rick) Aaser, Cindy (Dale) Berg all of Hannover, and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mabel and Otto Hintz; her brother-in-law Dale Bornemann; nephews Clay Bornemann, Todd Bornemann and Glenn Gerving.
