Evelyn H Kukuk

Evelyn Hattie Kukuk, age 96, died at Bethel Lutheran Nursing Center, Williston, ND on November 28, 2025. Graveside services will be held at a later date.

Evelyn was born May 10, 1929, at the family farm, along with her twin brother, Edward, to Arthur and Minnie (Speck) Kukuk. She was confirmed into the faith in 1943 at Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church in New Salem, later known as Peace Church, where she remained a member. She attended school at New Salem.

Eveyln devoted a good portion of her life to the care of her mother, Minnie. Evelyn was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed collecting dolls, many of which wore the outfits she created. In her younger years she enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking. One of her greatest joys was reminiscing about her early days on the farm and being reminded of her family. Evelyn was known as a kind and sweet soul.

Evelyn is survived by her nephews William (Denise) Kukuk, New Salem; Allen (Sheila) Kukuk Williston; niece, The Rev. Terry Kukuk (The Rev. Brad Sheppard) Centerville, OH; great-niece Katelyn (Brandon) Sandberg, Williston; great-nephews, Jadon Sheppard and Ian Sheppard, Centerville, OH; and great-great-nephew, Kamden Sandberg, Williston.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Edna, and twin brother, Edward.
