Emil R. Wanner

Emil Wanner, 87, of Bismarck, ND passed away March 14, 2023 at his residence under the care of hospice.  A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Bismarck with Pastor Jonathan Walla officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Saturday, one hour prior to funeral service at the church.

Emil was born November 18, 1935 in Wishek, ND to John & Leah (Weise) Wanner.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army following high school.  He was married to Patsy (Vanderwoode) Wanner.  Emil worked as a Printer for the North Dakota state government for many years.  He was a long-time member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

He enjoyed fishing, baking, and playing guitar, and also enjoyed watching bowling, golf and football.

He is survived by his daughter, Lycrecia (husband Jay) Berger of Bismarck; and two grandchildren, Nicole & David Berger.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Debbie, and wife Patsy.
