Donald Kramer

Donald Kramer, 84, Bismarck, passed away April 4, 2021 at St. Gabriel’s Care Center, Bismarck.

Per Don’s request, no services will be held.

Don was born on June 25, 1936 to George and Hattie (Hoesel) Kramer in the original family farmhouse in New Salem where he lived for most of his life.  In 1958, he married Darlene Shimek, whom he met at a dance at the Casa Loma in New Salem.  The two enjoyed many more years dancing together.

Don is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Alan, Kevin, and Joanne; son-in-law, Myron (Renita) Steckler; grandchildren, Kayde Schafer (Taylor), Tyler Steckler, Kristina Steckler (Emett), and Alycia Kramer; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Bridger; brother, Robert (Marilyn) Kramer; and sister, Carol (Joe) Huber.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marlys Steckler; brother, Duane Kramer; and sister, Dolores Kemmesat.

Memorials are preferred to the Burleigh County Senior Center, 315 N. 20th St., Bismarck, ND 58501.
