Devin Leingang

Aug 16, 1989 — Jun 6, 2026

Mandan

Devin Leingang, 36, of Mandan, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2026.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Mandan, with Fr. Fred Harvey celebrating. Burial will take place at Mandan Union Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home in Mandan. A Knights of Columbus Rosary and Parish Vigil will begin at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Devin was born on August 16, 1989, the second of four children born to Gerard and Tammy (McArthur) Leingang. He was raised and attended school in Mandan. He completed the first two and a half years of high school before leaving during his junior year when he was unable to earn enough credits to graduate with his class. Determined to finish his education, he attended South Central and earned his GED.

Devin worked in automotive repair before finding his passion in concrete work. He was exceptionally skilled at his trade and took great pride in the quality of his work. He also worked in maintenance. Most recently, he served as the manager of the Subway restaurant located in the North Walmart.

Devin met his wife, Brandy, in 2010 and immediately loved her daughter, Destiny, as his own. In 2012, Devin and Brandy welcomed their daughter, Akira. They were married on June 13, 2014. Devin loved his girls wholeheartedly—they were his entire world. There was never a question whether he would be there for them; one phone call was all it took, and he would be there.

For 20 years, Devin battled addiction. There were times when his family believed he had overcome it, and he would spend months on the right path. Yet he often found himself slipping back into the sadness and hopelessness that led him to use again.

Devin enjoyed riding his motorcycle and found freedom and peace on the open road. It was his escape from everyday struggles, worries, and racing thoughts. A motorcycle and an open road are a special kind of therapy—good for the mind and the soul. Ride on, Devin. You will be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughters, Akira and Destiny, and their mother, Brandy; his parents, Gerard and Tammy Leingang; his siblings, Heather (Greg) Kern, Tonya Leingang, and Eric Leingang (Michaela Newell); his niece and nephews, Kenadi, Isiah, Cooper, and Callahan; his grandmother, Betty Flowers; a special aunt and uncle, Tricia Flowers and Charles McArthur; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends who always prayed for Devin.

Devin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Ann Leingang and Dewey and Paulette McArthur; his great-grandmother, Maggie Markel; and his uncles, Paul Leingang and Tim Oster.
