Delores Poling, 87, of Mandan, passed away March 12, 2026, at Sunset Drive in Mandan.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the chapel in the Sunset Drive Nursing Home 1011 Boundary St. NW, Mandan. Burial will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Minot. A lunch will follow the burial at the Hacienda Steakhouse in Burlington.
Delores was born July 22, 1938, in Eureka, South Dakota, the daughter of Joe Reeves and Elsie (Hausauer) Reeves. She graduated from Minot High School in 1956. On May 15, 1960, she married Ronald Poling. Together they made their home in Minot, where they raised their family.
Delores worked as a loan officer at Midwest Federal in Minot. She later worked at Scheels Sporting Goods when the store first opened in Minot, where she spent six years as a retail clerk.
She enjoyed crafting and was especially fond of ceramics, flower arranging, crocheting, and latch hooking. Delores was a bingo player and loved going to garage sales and when she had some spare time she also enjoyed reading books. She enjoyed all the activities that the nursing home had to offer Delores also gave her time to the community, leading Girl Scout troops and 4-H clubs, and was active in her homemakers club.
She is survived by her four children, Correne Poling of Minot; James (Kim) Poling of Cheshire, Connecticut; Lisa (Ben) Bent of Minot; and Melanie (Kris) Maham of Surprise, Arizona and eight grandchildren: Rob and Reed Kochel, Jessica, Alexander, and Nicholas Poling, Ryan Bent, and Kristina, Lindsey Maham and great-grandson, Isaac Treinish.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Joshua Maham; siblings, Jonell Samson, James Reeves, Meredith Reeves; niece, Sandra Erie.To watch the livestream of her service or sign the online guestbook please visit www.BuehlerLarson.com.
