Delmar R. Hagerott, 92, Center, passed away on January 13, 2026, at Sanford Health, Bismarck.
Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Center. Visitation will open to the public one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will follow the service at St. Paul Cemetery, Center.
Delmar Russel Charles Hagerott was born on July 15, 1933, to Fred and Laura (Schulz) Hagerott. He was baptized on September 3, 1933, and Delmar remained a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Center until his death.
Delmar served in the Army from April 17, 1953 to April 9, 1955. He served in Okinawa as an Engineer Equipment Repairman where he went on to receive a National Defense Service Metal and a Good Conduct Metal. He then served in the Army Reserve from April 9, 1955 to April 30, 1961.
Delmar farmed and ranched in Oliver County on land that his grandparents, parents, and uncles farmed which became known as Hagerott Brothers Angus Ranch. Their farm won an Oliver County Soil Conservation award. After he semi-retired, he liked to go to auctions sales and sometimes find an old tractor to restore and then drive them in parades or tractor treks. He was always finding some to repair or work on around the farm unless there was some dinner or event that he and his friend Lyla could attend.
Delmar is survived by his brother, Norlan (Dollie) Hagerott; nephews, Steven Orgaard, Michael (Crisanne) Orgaard, Clifford (Marilyn) Orgaard, James (Jennie) Orgaard, Ronald Hagerott, Delvin (Rebecca) Bueligen, Lowell (Tammy) Bueligen; and niece, Rodella (Barry) Hausauer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Laura Hagerott; brother, LeRoy Hagerott; sisters and brother-in-laws Fern (Richard) Bueligen; and Arline (Lynn) Orgaard.
