David Dombrowsky, 57, Mandan, died October 12, 2015 at Sanford Health in Bismarck following a battle with liver cancer.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with Reverend Christina Martin officiating. Cremation has taken place and the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.

David was born May 9, 1958 in Mandan to Lawrence and Agnes (Rupp) Dombrowsky. Raised and educated in Mandan, he graduated from Mandan High School in 1976. On November 8, 1986 he married Donna Renner. They made their home in Mandan where they shared their lives and raised their two children. A very hard worker, David worked in Environmental Services at Sanford Health for 17 years and also for many years at Dakota Farms in Mandan. David loved to eat and could be tracked by following his Cheeto trails. He enjoyed being at home spending time with his family. Friendly and fun loving, he gave his friends and family nicknames. His faith was important to him and he was a member of First Lutheran Church in Mandan. A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Blessed to have shared his life is his wife of 28 years, Donna Dombrowsky, Mandan; daughter, Karissa Dombrowsky (Shawn Mertz), Bismarck; son, Eric Dombrowsky, Mandan; two sisters, Butch (Kenny) Mowder, Bismarck and Bonnie Kressin, Mandan; and two nephews, Chad Kressin and Todd Just.

David was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Twila and Sandy; and one brother-in-law, Marshall Just.
