David Bitz, 57, died at his home in Mandan on June 19, 2015.
A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home in Mandan with a memorial service at 7 pm. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date at Mandan Union Cemetery.
David was born August 27, 1957, to Donald Sr. and Blanche (Kraulik) Bitz in Jamestown, ND. He moved with his family to Mandan in 1971 and graduated from Mandan High School in 1975. David started out his working years laying carpet for Dynamic Homes. He then went on to work at the Cass Clay Creamery processing milk and as a home delivery driver. David was a member of the Teamsters Union. Due to health reasons, he left Cass Clay and went to work for Feist Electronics and later worked for Morton County as a 911 dispatcher.
David is survived by one brother, Don Jr. Bitz (Mary), Bismarck; two sisters, Sharon Bitz, Jamestown and Kathy Bitz, Mandan; one niece, Melissa Anderson (Scott), Mandan; one nephew, Dustin Bitz (Tara), Bismarck; two great nephews, Taylor and Parker Anderson; and three great nieces, Evelynn, Hailee, and Anna Bitz.
David was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
