Daniel Thomas Judt, 67, of Valley City, formerly of Mandan, passed away April 6, 2026, at St. Raphael Care Center in Valley City.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 17 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home in Mandan with Deacon Kevin Leingang presiding. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at 2 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Dan was born February 22, 1959, to Frank and Josephine Judt in Bismarck. He was raised and educated in Mandan, graduating from Mandan High School in 1977. While in high school, Dan worked for both Hardee’s and Happy Joes. He went on to Bismarck Junior College, graduating in 1979. He then worked for his father’s oil and gas business for a number of years.
Dan had a love for vehicles and was skilled in mechanics. He worked with his brother-in-law, Joel, restoring cars. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his dog. Dan was also into bodybuilding in his younger years. He enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephew and taking them to Dairy Queen for ice cream when they were young. Dan enjoyed music, especially Elvis Presley. Later in life, he had many struggles with mental health issues and physical ailments.
Dan is survived by his sisters, Pat (Doug Sr.) Nassif and Fran (Joel) Glasser, both of Bismarck; niece and nephew, Mandy (Mike) Dillinger, Boerne, Texas and Doug Jr. (Kristi) Nassif, San Diego, California; and great nieces and nephew, Ella and Grant Dillinger and Annika, Juliet, and Quinn Nassif.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary.

In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of Dan can be made to a charity of your choice.
