Bernice C. Jungling, 86, Mandan, died December 20, 2010 at the Medcenter One Living Center, Mandan. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Medcenter One Living Center in Mandan with Reverend Ron Hildahl officiating. Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Minot in the spring.
Bernice was born September 19, 1924 in Burlington, ND to Arthur and Esther (Sartwell) Scott. In June 1943 she married Kermit Pruitt, they divorced in 1948. Bernice married Art Manske in 1951 and they later divorced. In May 1956 Bernice married Edwin Jungling in Garrison. Edwin died in 1964. In 1974 Bernice began working as a caretaker at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. Later, she was a live in caretaker in Minot before moving to Nebraska in 1979. She returned to Bismarck in 1991 making her home at Patterson Place where she enjoyed volunteering. In 2004 Bernice moved to the Medcenter One Care Center where she enjoyed doing arts and crafts, puzzles, bingo, and board games. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Bernice will be missed by all who knew her. Left with fond memories are three daughters, Joan Scott-Howes (Michael Howes), Bismarck, SueAnn (O.C.) Ballard, Crestview, FL, and Tony Lee Remmick, Jamestown; one son, Louie Jungling, Valley City; 12 grandchildren, Chris (Billie Jo) Scott, Chelsey (Peter) Riepl, Michael, Montana, Toria, and Tiara Howes, Susan Raye Gromosky, Theresa (Scott) Griffin, John and Brenda Adam, Candice North, and Gwen Holt; 11 great grandchildren, Jayden, Britney, Kaylee, Keaton, Crystal, Landon, Nivec, Ian, Devon, Ethan, and Kali; and sister-in-law, Elsie Scott, Minot.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 infant children; daughter, Peggy; son, Buster; great granddaughter, Ashley; sister, Betty; and brothers, Irwin “Scotty” and George.
