Alice Hohbein, 71, passed away October 28, 2015, at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015, at 2:00 pm at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home in Mandan with Rev. Christina Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service in Mandan.
Alice Mae Hohbein was born August 31, 1944, in Bismarck, ND to Edward Sr. and Caroline (Keller) Becknell. She grew up in Bismarck and attended St. Mary’s schools. On October 14, 1961, Alice married Marvin Hohbein. To this union, five children were born.
Alice had an independent spirit; she enjoyed living life the way she wanted to. She loved her daisy flowers, rustic furniture, and country western music. Alice had love, care, and compassion for her children. She greatly enjoyed family time. She and Greg spent a lot of time together watching ball games and visiting.
Alice is survived by her daughters, Marcia (Mike) Doherty, Parker, CO, and Shari (Kevin) Hafner, Beulah, ND; sons, Marlin (Gina) Hohbein, Chaska, MN, and Gregory, Bismarck; her sisters, Carol (Marcel) Thiel, Havre, MT, and Edvina Becknell, Bismarck; brothers, Eddie Jr. (Arlene) Becknell, Bismarck, and James Dean (Patricia) Becknell, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Chelsey, Danielle, Lindsay, Kristin, DJ, Isabella, and Noah; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Myron Hohbein
