Alberto Mercado Quiñones, 30, of Mandan, passed away on August 27, 2026 in Mandan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. with friends and family to share favorite memories of Alberto beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, 1701 Sunset drive, Mandan, North Dakota.

Alberto will be remembered for his unforgettable personality, his sense of humor, his playful spirit, and, most of all, the love he had for his family.

Alberto had a way of making people laugh. He could be the life of the party, filling a room with laughter, and then, just as easily, decide he wanted nothing to do with anyone and retreat into his own world. He was funny, stubborn, complicated, loving, caring, and completely unforgettable. His jokes and pranks were a big part of who he was, and those who knew him will remember the laughter he brought into their lives.

For six years, Alberto and his wife, Taisha Ortiz Gonzalez, shared a life together. During those years, they loved, laughed, struggled, grew, and built a family. Alberto was Taisha’s husband, her best friend, and the person whose presence became part of her everyday life. She will forever cherish the morning hugs, the late-night conversations, the laughter, the quiet moments together, and even the little things she once took for granted.

Alberto’s greatest legacy will be his two sons, Logan and Bjorn. He is loved by his boys, and his memory will continue through them. Taisha promises that they will grow up knowing their father—not only through photographs and memories, but through the stories, laughter, and pieces of Alberto that live on in them. His boys will know his sense of humor, his personality, the things he loved, and most importantly, how much he loved them.

Alberto will also be remembered as a beloved son, family member, friend, husband, and father. His life touched many people, and the love others have for him does not end with his passing.

Though thirty years was far too short, Alberto leaves behind memories that will be carried for a lifetime. His family will remember the laughter, the ridiculous pranks, the hugs, the conversations, and all of the ordinary moments that became extraordinary because they were shared with him.

Taisha will continue to tell his stories and say his name. She will make sure Logan and Bjorn know their daddy and understand the love that surrounded their family.

Alberto’s life will not be defined by how it ended, but by how he lived and how deeply he was loved.

Six years was not enough. Thirty years was not enough. A lifetime would not have felt like enough.

Alberto will forever be loved, forever missed, and forever a part of the family he created.
