Albert was born March 31, 1922 in rural Mandan to John and Amelia (Schiller) Jankus.  He attended Lyon’s School through the eighth grade.  Albert was very deliberate and focused on his love for his farm.  His entire life was dedicated to the land.  From 1964-1969 he worked as a dishwasher at St. Ansgar Hospital in Moorhead, MN.  After his mother died, which was a traumatic experience for Albert, he returned to his farm.  Albert could fix anything and everything and loved playing Scrabble.

Blessed to have shared his life is his niece, Susan (John) Gormley, Grand Junction, CO and nephew, Don (Gerri) Dickerson, Kerrville, TX.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Henry Jankus; and sisters, Tillie Jankus, Ann Dickerson, and Helen Bunker.
