Elizabeth “Betty” was born April 21, 1922, in St. Anthony to Frank and Mary (Goertel) Muth.  She attended school through the eighth grade.  On June 13, 1944, Betty married Frank J. Mullner in St. Anthony.  Betty was a hard working farm wife and milked up to 15 cows per day.  She loved to dance, play cards, and enjoyed crocheting and giving her creations to her children and grandchildren.  Betty had a wonderful talent for making strudel and was a wonderful cook who would have food on the table for family and friends who would just drop by.  Betty worked at the Mandan Hospital, Colonial Motel, Baptist Home, and Mandan Villa.  She retired in 1973.

All through the years Betty and Frank would make trips to Colorado to see their children and grandchildren who live there.  They attended every graduation and wedding.  Faith and family meant everything to them.

The family wishes to thank all of the caregivers who gave Mom the special care she needed with unconditional love ~ Nicole, Rhonda, Jordyn, Geri, Bonita, Stacey, and Loreine.  To Penny who helped us so we could fulfill Mom and Dad’s wishes to stay in their home.  To Tammy Schafer from St. Joseph Church for her pleasant companionship

and Eucharistic service to Mom & Dad for many years.  To the hospice team and especially Judy, who we are so thankful to for being there the last three days of Mom’s life.  And of course, Elaine, whose quiet presence, strong devotion, and steady caregiving led Mom toward her last breath.

Blessed to have shared her life is her husband of 73 years, Frank Mullner, Mandan; two daughters, Donna (Paul) Magrum, Loveland, CO and Elaine (Nick) Hatzenbuhler, Mandan; three sons, Duane (Kate) Mullner, Denver, CO, Ray (Norah) Mullner, Loveland, CO, and Dennis Mullner, Loveland, CO; eight grandchildren, Michelle Turner, Melissa Dodd, Derek Mullner, Nicole McClellan, Shane Magrum, Gail Calabrese, Wendi Shook, and Travis Hatzenbuhler; 18 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild, Brynlee; one sister, Dorothy Berreth, Mandan; and four sister-in-laws, Loretta Muth, Mandan, Josie Muth, Tacoma, WA, Helen Muth, Mandan, and Irene Muth, Portland, OR.
